FRANCHISE NOTES

          In Minneapolis, Sid Hartman reports Vikings President
     Roger Headrick said that no deadline was set at last week's
     NFL meetings on "when one person has to own 30 percent of
     Vikings stock" (Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE, 5/29)....Former
     MLB Commissioner Peter Ueberroth is interviewed in today's
     ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER on the state of pro sports. 
     Ueberroth, on the future of team ownership by media
     companies: "You either have none or you have a lot, which I
     think is good for the game.  To have just one or two is
     dangerous" (Barbara Kingsley, ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER, 5/29).
