     EDWARD DEBARTOLO, JR. and Pacers Owner MEL SIMON, is
     building a new urban entertainment center at Penn's Landing
     in Philadelphia (PHILADELPHIA DAILY NEWS, 5/16)....Bucs
     Owner MALCOLM GLAZER has "fumbled his latest attempt" to
     take over IL-based Envirodyne after shareholders rejected
     three candidates to its Board of Directors who were
     nominated by Glazer's Zapata Corp. (ST. PETERSBURG TIMES,
     5/17)....FRANK SLOCUM, a former MLB exec with the Dodgers,
     assistant to Commissioner Ford Frick, and the first and only
     Exec Dir of the Baseball Assistance Team, died yesterday at
     the age of 71 (N.Y. TIMES, 5/19)....NHL Kings VP/GM DAVE
     TAYLOR received an honorary doctor of science degree at
     Clarkson University's commencement on Sunday (Kings).
