          The Boston Celtics Limited Partnership earned $1.83 per
     share for its fiscal third quarter, a penny less than a year
     ago ("Market Wrap," CNBC, 5/9)....The Bergen RECORD's John
     Rowe reported that new Jets Coach Bill Parcells has an out
     clause in his contract, making him a free agent if Leon Hess
     sells the team (Bergen RECORD, 5/10)....Hartford Mayor
     Michael Peters confirmed the city will not sue the CT
     Development Authority in the wake of the Whalers leaving.
     Peters said the city is "looking at a couple of things. A
     new stadium for the UConn Huskies, IHL or AHL hockey"
     (HARTFORD COURANT, 5/10). In Sunday's Raleigh NEWS &
     OBSERVER, Chip Alexander took a detailed examination of the
     Whalers' move to the Research Triangle under the header,
     "Anatomy Of A Deal. With [Felix] Sabates Out Of The Picture,
     It Was Karmanos' Time To Shine" (NEWS & OBSERVER, 5/11). 
     Hornets Owner George Shinn said that despite the arrival of
     the Whalers to Raleigh, he would still pursue bringing an
     NHL team to the Norfolk, VA, area (USA TODAY, 5/12).
