NEWARK STAR-LEDGER GOES INSIDE THE SALES OF NFL MERCHANDISE

Information obtained by the Newark STAR-LEDGER's Dan Wasserman lists NFL team rankings based on merchandise sales from last year, compared to '95, and each team's percentage of total NFL merchandising sales. Wasserman's piece focuses on the impact new Jets head coach Bill Parcells may have on the team's merchandise sales, as according to the latest sales figures, the Jets rank 23rd in the league. Chris Widmaier, Dir of Corp Communications at NFL Properties: "The Jets easily could jump to the upper echelon if Parcells can turn the team around" (Newark STAR-LEDGER, 4/15).
