          Foxboro Stadium officials "will likely announce" early
     next week that a sellout crowd of 57,577 is expected for the
     April 20 doubleheader featuring the U.S. against Mexico in a
     World Cup '98 qualifying match and the MLS Revolution home
     opener (BOSTON GLOBE, 4/11)....Phillies VP/Ticket Operations
     Richard Deats, on today's Opening Day: "We're anticipating a
     crowd in the high 30,000's or the low 40,000's" (PHILA.
     DAILY NEWS, 4/11)....Announced attendance at County Stadium
     for the Brewers-Rangers yesterday was 5,638.  Actual
     attendance was about 1,000, due to cold weather (DALLAS
     MORNING NEWS, 4/11)....The Indians will not distribute
     commemorative baseballs at today's home opener, but will
     give out redeemable coupons (AKRON BEACON JOURNAL, 4/11).
     ...The Bruins filed a civil lawsuit against three insurance
     companies alleging that they failed to pay benefits to
     retired player Cam Neely.  The suit lists Boston Mutual Life
     Insurance Co., BWD Group Limited and Smithwick and Clarke
     Insurance Inc. as defendants (BOSTON GLOBE, 4/11).
