GLOBE & MAIL REPORT HAS TSN CLOSE TO DEAL TO AIR NBA GAMES

In Canada, TSN is "closing in on a major deal" with the
NBA that will allow it to show postseason games, beginning
"as soon as next month," as well as regular-season games for
"at least" the next two years, sources tell Marty York of
the Toronto GLOBE & MAIL. TSN used U.S. feeds of NBA games
in the past "but has been devoid of them since it was unable
to reach a deal" with the league two years ago. York notes
while the coming playoff games on TSN also would be via U.S.
feeds, TSN "intends to produce some of its own games" in the
regular season next year (Toronto GLOBE & MAIL, 3/26).
