          The '98 Nike World Masters Games took out a four-page
     ad supplement in USA Today promoting the event.  Advertisers
     included Nike, PacifiCorp, United Airlines, U.S. Bank, USA
     Today, Deloitte & Touche LLP, VSI, Rex Hill, Nautilus Plus
     and ESPN (USA TODAY, 3/26)....Tiger Woods will be playing
     with a Titleist iron before the end of '97, which will be
     available at retail (GOLFWEEK, 3/22 issue)....In N.Y., David
     Barboza examines Converse's $30M ad campaign to increase
     basketball shoe sales using Dr. J and Dennis Rodman.  After
     reporting losses in seven consecutive quarters, Converse
     expects to report a profit in this year's first quarter,
     "primarily on surging sales of its All-Star 2000 shoe" (N.Y.
     TIMES, 3/26)....CNBC's Terry Keenan noted that Rawlings
     Sporting Goods "says it earned" $.55 per share in the second
     quarter," $.10 higher than a year ago and $.04 "ahead of
     expectations" ("Market Wrap," CNBC, 3/25).
