NHL PLAYOFF TICKET NEWS: OILERS THE BEST BUY IN CANADA

          A Toronto Globe & Mail survey reveals that the NHL
     Oilers are offering the best overall ticket prices for the
     playoffs among Canadian teams, according to the GLOBE &
     MAIL's David Shoalts.  At C$10-50, the Oilers have the
     cheapest regular-season tickets in Canada, and tickets for
     the for the first two rounds of the playoffs will range from
     C$12-52.  The Canadiens would have the most expensive
     tickets, should they make the playoffs, with prices ranging
     rom C$23-110 (GLOBE & MAIL, 3/25).  
          PANTHERS: Team Dir/Ticket Ops Scott Wampold said 99% of
     season-ticket holders met the March 14 deadline for buying
     playoff seats.  Between 1,000-2,000 playoff tickets per game
     will be available to the public (MIAMI HERALD, 3/25).
