          Raptors VP ISIAH THOMAS said he'd be "very interested"
     in getting involved in bringing an NFL franchise to Toronto
     (FINANCIAL POST, 3/23)....In Chicago, Phil Rosenthal writes:
     "The surprise inclusion of DENNIS RODMAN on tape on the
     Oscars telecast having been spoiled, we hear the Academy
     Awards people now want to spring Rodman and his thespian
     tendencies on viewers as a presenter tonight."  Rodman: "I
     don't know what I'm doing. ... I probably am (presenting)"
     (CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 3/24)....WAYNE GRETZKY and MARK MESSIER
     were featured in Sunday's N.Y. TIMES MAGAZINE under the
     header "Elders On Ice" (N.Y. TIMES MAGAZINE, 3/23)....Stars
     Owner TOM HICKS was featured in Sunday's Business section of
     the DALLAS MORNING NEWS.  Hicks' firm, Hicks, Muse, Tate &
     Furst Inc., "now has big stakes" in about 270 radio
     stations, and Hicks says that the plan is to "increase that
     number by 50 percent within five years" (DALLAS MORNING
     NEWS, 3/23)....Mariners SS ALEX RODRIGUEZ was profiled in
     Sunday's SEATTLE TIMES under the header "Alex The Great --
     Baseball's Mr. Nice May Be The Coolest Guy In Seattle"
     (SEATTLE TIMES, 3/23)....The Yankees' TINO MARTINEZ, BERNIE
     WILLIAMS, DEREK JETER, DWIGHT GOODEN, and JORGE POSADA were
     fetaured in the Sunday N.Y. TIMES' "Men's Fashion of the
     Times."  Jeter is on the cover (N.Y. TIMES MAGAZINE, 3/23).
