report that Calvin Hill would be named a front-office

they ask me, we'll see. But if they do, I won't be a front
man for anyone" (BOSTON GLOBE, 3/24)....Nets VP/Head Coach
John Calipari called Newark Star-Ledger beat writer Dan

last week. Nets President Michael Rowe and Calipari
"apologized to Garcia the night of the incident. The coach
also told Garcia he was joking." Calipari's agent Craig
Fenech: "John regrets it. It was stupid" (STAR-LEDGER,
3/24)....Tony Kornheiser, on the Nets piping in crowd noise
at the Continental Airlines Arena: "Considering they've won

More Kornheiser: "How do they advertise? Come see the Nets
in surround sound" ("The Sports Reporters," ESPN, 3/23).
