generally considered the most compelling TV views of stock-
car racing," have been banned from the sport "for the
foreseeable future," according to Richard Huff in the N.Y.
DAILY NEWS. NASCAR found in recent wind-tunnel tests that
cars equipped with the so-called "roofcams" had an "unfair
aerodynamic advantage" over the other competitors. Until
the producers and NASCAR can find a way to eliminate the
advantage, NASCAR is "banning the cameras altogether." The
ruling does not affect bumper cams and cameras inside the
cars. NASCAR spokesperson Kevin Triplett: "We've been on
the phone with all of our network partners. Our broadcast
partners are creative people. We feel like we'll get this
worked out" (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 3/20).
