          In Boston, Howard Manly reports that the details "are
     sketchy, but the Fabulous Sports Babe is taking her act from
     ESPN studios" to NYC, where her show will air on ABC Sports
     Radio starting in May (BOSTON GLOBE, 3/21)....A new addition
     to FX's second season of World League Football coverage,
     beginning April 12, includes the "World League '97 Preview
     Show" hosted by the "NFL on Fox"'s Matt Millen, which will
     air before the season's first game telecast.  Also, FX is
     adding the "World League Weekend Studio Show," a weekly
     feature hosted by Eric Clemons (FX)....Although a likeness
     of Michael Jordan was on the cover of the March 10 issue of
     SI, the VANCOUVER SUN's Brad Ziemer writes "Jordan still
     refuses to pose exclusively" for an SI cover because he
     "felt SI trashed him during his brief tryout" for MLB three
     years ago (VANCOUVER SUN, 3/21)....Phil Schoen, Ty Keough
     and Bill McDermott will return to ESPN and ESPN2 broadcast
     booths for the second season of MLS (ESPN)....AHL ICEAGE,
     the AHL's official website at www.canoe.ca/AHL, has
     generated 1.2 million page views since the beginning of the
     '96-97 season (AHL)....In Toronto, CBC has landed Canadian
     rights to the race between Donovan Bailey and Michael
     Johnson (TORONTO SUN, 3/21)....Univ. of CA Senior G Anwar
     McQueen, whose nickname is Q, is the subject of a
     documentary being made by filmmaker Tommy Walker.  The
     project is tentatively titled "Q," and doesn't have a
     distributor yet.  The project has chronicled McQueen's life
     over the past six years (PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER, 3/21).
     ....The Pistons' Joe Dumars is serving as a spokesperson for
     Michigan Comcast Cablevision's marketing and image campaign,
     which includes TV, radio and direct mail (CRAIN'S DETROIT
     BUSINESS, 3/17 issue)....NBC Sports launches its new golf
     instruction program, High Performance Golf, on Saturday,
     hosted by NBC golf commentator Roger Maltbie (NBC Sports).

TNT’s Stan Van Gundy, ESPN’s Tim Reed, NBA Playoffs and NFL Draft

On this week’s pod, SBJ’s Austin Karp has two Big Get interviews. The first is with TNT’s Stan Van Gundy as he breaks down the NBA Playoffs from the booth. Later in the show, we hear from ESPN’s VP of Programming and Acquisitions Tim Reed as the NFL Draft gets set to kick off on Thursday night in Motown. SBJ’s Tom Friend also joins the show to share his insights into NBA viewership trends.
