MARKETPLACE ROUND-UP

          CNS, manufacturer of Breathe Right nasal strips, said
     its first quarter profits would be "significantly below"
     analysts' estimates of $.23/share.  CNS said retailers "were
     ordering fewer of the breathing aids in January and
     February" (Providence JOURNAL-BULLETIN, 3/20)....Converse
     has settled "substantially" all of its remaining claims
     against the former owners of Apex One, Inc.  The settlements
     will result in the dismissal of the pending federal court
     actions between Converse and all former owners of Apex
     except for Norwood Venture Corp.  Converse continues to seek
     damages against Norwood for fraud under the federal
     securities laws in connection with the Apex acquisition
     (Converse)....Fila will be the official footwear and apparel
     company of the McDonald's All-American High School
     Basketball Game, played in Colorado Springs, CO, on March
     29.  The game will be seen nationally on CBS.  Fila will
     provide each high school player with Stack II basketball
     shoes (Fila)....Entry Media announced the Astros' FL
     operations have added turnstile advertising via the
     Turnstile AdSleeve Armcover to Osceola County Stadium.  The
     Astros signed a multi-year deal.  The first sponsor is
     Florida Hospital (Entry Media)...."Space Jam" was No. 1 on
     the video rental charts with $4.62M in weekly rental revenue
     last week (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, 3/20)....Taco Bell picked
     TBWA Chiat/Day, Venice, CA, to handle the creative portion
     of its $200M account, according to sources familiar with the
     talks (AD AGE, 3/20)....Minor League Baseball will honor the
     memory of Jackie Robinson throughout the '97 season with
     players and umpires wearing commemorative 50-Year
     Anniversary patches on their uniforms (NAPBL)....The Timken
     Company will sponsor two top drivers in the '97 PPG Cart
     World Series.  Jimmy Vasser and Bryan Herta will display the
     Timken logo on their driver suits and helmets, as well as
     appear at various company and customer functions (Timken).
