BRUINS OWNER JACOBS SPEAKS OUT IN BOSTON GLOBE INTERVIEW

Delaware North CEO and Bruins Owner Jeremy Jacobs, "who
rarely has made himself available to the media while
practicing absentee ownership, talked openly and candidly"
on a variety of topics in a phone interview with Kevin Paul
Dupont of the BOSTON GLOBE. Items discussed included the
Bruins' ticket prices, the FleetCenter and the possibility
of a Delaware North ownership interest in the sale of MSG
and related properties. Regarding MSG and its properties,
Jacobs said that the impending sale "holds some interest" to
Delaware North, but he would not be interested in acquiring
the Rangers. Jacobs, on the Bruins: "I'm not willing to
trade what I've got. I like the business (in Boston)."
Jacobs specified management of the MSG building and the
concession rights as being of primary interest. Regarding
Bruins' ticket prices, "on average the highest in the NHL,"
Jacobs said they will not be increased after this season.
Jacobs added the FleetCenter "is doing surprisingly well."
Jacobs: "We have to watch what we do -- because of the costs
-- but I do see (the number of events) expanding and I
believe they'll continue to expand" (BOSTON GLOBE, 3/13).
