IS SUPPORT FOR RENOVATED STADIUM A MILE HIGH AND MILE DEEP?

Denver City Council members said the Denver
Metropolitan Football Stadium Board "needs to take a closer
look at remodeling Mile High Stadium -- even if it means
delaying a stadium vote in November," according to Alan Snel
of the DENVER POST. A city task force has reviewed Mile
High and recommended to the Metro Stadium Board that a new
stadium was needed. Broncos Owner Pat Bowlen opposes Mile
High's redevelopment because he contends the stadium is "too
antiquated to be saved." The City Council acted after
architect Stuart Ohlson presented a plan to remake the Mile
     High site (DENVER POST, 3/13).
