STADIUM NOTES

The Orlando Arena, "coming off a dismal financial
year," just finished its "busiest and perhaps most
profitable month" since opening in '89. That despite the
fact that attendance for the Magic and the IHL Solar Bears
is down "more than 1,000 spectators per outing" (ORLANDO
     SENTINEL, 3/8)....Official ground-breaking for Toronto's Air
Canada Centre is scheduled for tomorrow (TORONTO SUN,
3/11)....Twins VP Kirby Puckett and team broadcaster Bert
Blyleven lobbied State Senate Republicans about the team's
plan for a new ballpark (Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE, 3/11).
