          HOWIE LONG, who made his movie debut in John Woo's
     "Broken Arrow," has been named "New Star of Tomorrow" by
     ShoWest.  The award will be presented at the convention in
     Las Vegas, March 3-6, on TNT (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, 2/26).
     ...Olympic speedskater DAN JANSEN has filed for divorce from
     his wife, Robin, the mother of two of his daughters
     (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 2/27)....DENNIS RODMAN will be
     featured in a two-piece bathing suit on the cover of April's
     edition of Sport magazine, hitting newsstands on March 7
     (CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 2/27)....ALBERT BELLE was challenged at
     the White Sox training complex Friday by Northeastern OH
     native and Indians fan, DAVID HENRY, who told police he was
     "the Biblical Omega Man on a mission from God."  Henry was
     charged with misdemeanor loitering and prowling, and felony
     burglary.  Henry:  "My business with Belle is not complete"
     (CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 2/27)....RIDDICK BOWE issued his first
     statement on his experience at the USMC:  "Drill instructors
     always yelling commands every step of the way.  So many
     times my instincts told me to rebel and challenge them but I
     understood their need to do all the things that they were
     doing, plus I did not want to seem to be or set a bad
     example as a troublemaker" (WASHINGTON POST, 2/27).
