A RUNNING TALLY ON NEW STADIUM SHOWS BRONCOS NEED TO RALLY

Pro-Active Communications, a Lakewood, CO, polling
firm, is surveying 125,000 metro Denver on a new Broncos
stadium, and also "measuring whether they would be more
supportive if owner Pat Bowlen relinquished as much as 50
percent of the team to the city," according to Alan Snel of
the DENVER POST. With 12,000 respondents so far, 29% favor
a new, taxpayer-subsidized stadium, while 71% oppose it. Of
pro-stadium respondents, 67% favored Bowlen giving up some
ownership, with 33% opposed. The polling began February 18
and will end March 19 (DENVER POST, 2/26).
