STARS' UNVEIL COST-SHARING PLAN ON NEW DALLAS ARENA

          Stars Owner Tom Hicks revealed a plan to build a new
     $180M arena downtown with costs shared by the Stars, the
     Mavs and the city, according to Todd Gillman of the DALLAS
     MORNING NEWS.  The plan, "the most detailed yet from any
     side," would have the teams investing at least $110M, and
     the city lending $70M, with no interest or payments for ten
     years.  The city would also provide land, parking and other
     infrastructure that "could add tens of millions to its share
     of the deal."  In return, the teams would stay in the new
     arena for 30 years" (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 2/18).
