OWNER SAYS OLD RIVERFRONT COLISEUM NOT A "BARGAINING CHIP"

IHL Cyclones Owner Doug Kirchhofer, after buying
Cincinnati's Riverfront Coliseum and renaming it "The
Crown," said that "he has no plans" to use the facility as
"a bargaining chip" in the "stadium location game,"
according to Geoff Hobson in the CINCINNATI ENQUIRER. The
site is one of the options Hamilton County has considered
for a new Reds ballpark, partly because some think the
condition of the 22-year-old Coliseum is "beyond repair."
But Tuesday, Kirchhofer unveiled a $14M renovation plan for
     the building (CINCINNATI ENQUIRER, 2/12).
