NEW JORDAN CIGAR BAR IN CHICAGO CLOSE TO A DONE DEAL?

MICHAEL JORDAN is reportedly in the "final stages" of
buying an abandoned plant on Chicago's West Side, on a
"primary" access route to the United Center from the north
and northwest for Bulls' fans, to be remodeled and reopened
     as a 40,000-square-foot "high-end" restaurant with a cigar
     bar (Jim O'Donnell, CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 2/11).
BEST ACTOR? AH, NO: In S.F, David Steele notes that
Warner Bros. ran ads in trade publications "encouraging"
Academy voters to name Jordan for Best Actor for "Space
Jam." Steele: "Even taking into consideration that
Hollywood doesn't even blink at the most outrageous hype,
this could very well top them all" (S.F. CHRONICLE, 2/11).
