PINNACLE RETURNS AS TITLE-SPONSOR OF PINNACLE/NHL FANTASY

          For the second year, trading card manufacturer Pinnacle
     Brands is title sponsor of the Pinnacle/NHL FANtasy.  The
     exhibition, which takes place January 16-19 at the San Jose
     McEnery Convention Center, is also sponsored by 36 other
     companies and area media. 
          PINNACLE/NHL FANTASY SPONSORS: Pinnacle Brands, Bauer,
     Breathe Right, Caltrain, CCM, The New Dodge, Donruss Trading
     Cards, Duracell Batteries, EA Sports, Fleer/Skybox, KFRC
     99.7, KSJO 92.3, Franklin, Gatorade, The Hockey News, IBM,
     Sheraton Hotels and Resorts, JOFA Hockey Equipment, 3M
     Commercial Graphics, Hyper Wheels, MasterCard, Midway,
     Sportsmate, Valley Transportation Authority, Speed Stick,
     Baby Ruth, KTVU/Fox, SportsChannel, Nike, Lee Sport,
     Primestar, Quaker State, Sony's PlayStation, Sony Maximum

          50,000 PEOPLE, MAYBE MORE: The Pinnacle/NHL FANtasy
     drew approximately 30,000 fans last year at the All-Star
     game in Boston. Pinnacle Brands Manager/Marketing Promotions
     Kevin Picone said the NHL estimates attendance of 50,000
     this year.  Picone, on the weekend's events: "They
     definitely help for brand awareness and just building the
     brand Pinnacle."  Pinnacle/NHL FANtasy will feature more
     than 20 attractions.  Admission for adults is $10.75;
     children and senior citizens, $5.75 (THE DAILY).       
          FLEER/SKYBOX: A Fleer/SkyBox spokesperson told THE
     DAILY the company is investing over $100,000 in its All-Star
     Weekend presence, including two events at Pinnacle/NHL
     FANtasy: the Fleer/SkyBox Hockey Card Flipping Tournament
     and a scavenger hunt called "Shark Hunt" (THE DAILY).
          TICKET TO RIDE: The New Dodge held a test drive promo
     with dealerships in San Jose offering four free children's
     tickets to Pinnacle/NHL FANtasy. They also have an All-Star
     game giveaway.  NHL players and management will be provided
     transportation in San Jose in Dodge Grand Caravans (NHL).
          DURACELL: All-Star Weekend will host 40 Duracell
     sweepstakes winners through national consumer promotions
     conducted during the 4th quarter of '96 (NHL).
          MIGHTY DUCKS/DISNEY: Twenty winners of the Mighty Ducks
     animated series/All-Star contest will be given a "behind the
     scenes" tour of the San Jose Arena in addition to attending
     the weekend's scheduled events (NHL).
