NBA KINGS OWNER ASKS CITY OFFICIALS FOR $145M IN AID

          Sacramento Kings Owner Jim Thomas has told city
     officials he wants them to invest $145M in Arco Arena and in
     his planned adjacent entertainment complex, or he may sell
     the team, according to Bizjak & Delsohn in the SACRAMENTO
     BEE.  In meetings this week, Thomas reportedly said he has a
     "'very lucrative offer'" for the team, but that he wants the
     city to commit by next week to investing an initial $60M to
     help him refinance Arco arena (SACRAMENTO BEE, 1/16).
