WNBA SIGNS FIRST FOUR MARKETING PARTNERS

          Lee Jeans, Bud Light, Champion and Spalding have
     entered into three-year agreements as the WNBA's first four
     marketing partners.  The WNBA marketing program includes
     category exclusivity with all three WNBA TV partners -- NBC,
     ESPN and Lifetime; ads in WNBA print media; exclusive
     national and local promo rights using the WNBA and team
     logos; on-court signage in each WNBA arena; advertising in
     each team's local TV telecasts; national, local and
     broadcast category exclusivity; and player appearances in
     every WNBA team market.  The WNBA will announce additional
     marketing partnerships in early '97 (WNBA).
