FRANCHISE NOTES

The NFL Browns average ticket price in '99 will be
$42.19, excluding the cost of a permanent seat license to be
added to 55,000 seats at the new stadium (CRAIN'S CLEVELAND
BUSINESS, 12/13)....Despite being in first place, the Heat
have sold out only four of the eight games at Miami Arena.
Heat Guard Sasha Danilovic: "We have home-court advantage,
but we feel there should be more of one. Our arena should
be sold out more" (MIAMI HERALD, 12/14).....According to a
survey by the Colorado Business Committee for the Arts and
Deloitte & Touche, more people visited arts events, museums
and the zoo last year than attended all the home games of
the Rockies, Nuggets and Broncos. The statistics reveal
there were 7.1 million arts and culture visits versus 5.3
million tickets sold to the four major teams' home games,
even when including fans from the Avalanche's inaugural '95-
96 season (DENVER POST, 12/15)....The Jets, with 46,538 no-
shows, have about 193,500 this season, an average of over
27,500 per home game (NEWSDAY, 12/15).
