FRANCHISE NOTES

headquarters for the Coyotes in Papango Park, AZ was withdrawn
yesterday by the city's Parks & Recreation Board due to lack of
public support (ARIZONA REPUBLIC, 11/13). ...Saying the "climate
is not right," former CFL Ottawa Rough Riders President Jim
Durrell said he will "not lead any revival" to get a CFL
franchise for Ottawa next year. The CFL revoked the Rough Riders
from Owner Horn Chen last week (CANADIAN PRESS/TORONTO SUN,
11/13)....Seattle ad agency WongDoody has done five new Heat TV
spots featuring the "team's dedication and the no nonsense
approach of [President] Pat Riley" (ADWEEK, 11/11
issue)...Atlanta-based agency Fitzgerald & Co., hired recently by
the Braves, will focus its efforts on the club's new Ted Turner
stadium. Agency President Dave Fitzgerald said the facility will
be positioned as "the most fan-friendly ballpark in the world, a
landmark celebration of baseball" (ADWEEK, 11/11 issue).
