SPORTS NETWORK NEWS & NOTES: CNN/SI'S MCCORMICK RESIGNS

     CNN/SI Exec Producer Jean McCormick has resigned for
personal reasons, according to Richard Sandomir of the N.Y.
TIMES.  CNN Senior VP Jim Walton: "Our infrastructure is so solid
we'll pick up the slack" (N.Y. TIMES, 11/9). ...Former
SportsChannel OH Senior VP/GM David Kline has been named Senior
VP of Rainbow National Sports and will oversee NewSport and Prime
(Gould Media Services, 11/8)....Fox Sports Net reached a
broadcast agreement with the CISL.  As part of the three-year
deal, the '97 CISL lineup will be offered Sunday afternoons to
the nationwide network of Fox Sports Net regional affil (Fox
Sports Net)....In New York, Phil Mushnick writes Fox Sports Net
will soon announce it has "cut a deal" with ITT-owned WBIS+ to
air up to 30 hours of programming per week (N.Y. POST, 11/11).
