     The NHL Kings average gross season-ticket price is $34 --
the same as '95-96 (THE DAILY)....Bill Fleischman of the
PHILADELPHIA DAILY NEWS notes a crowd of "just" 12,435 attended
the Flyers-Capitals game at USAir Arena last night.  Capitals GM
David Poile, on the MCI Center set to open downtown DC for the
'97 season:  "We'll probably lose some fans who have been coming
here [to USAir Arena].  But the people who are buying luxury
boxes are those who are  already coming to the games" (PHILA.
DAILY NEWS, 10/31). ...NFL Cardinals Owner Bill Bidwill, on the
club's poor home attendance this season and apparent negative
perception in the community: "We have to repair the image of this
team that has been out there so long, that we're disorganized"
(ARIZONA REPUBLIC, 10/30).
