     Five more NHL teams are "tentatively set" to unveil a third
jersey this season, according to a report in the Baltimore SUN.
The teams: the Islanders, Rangers, Blues, Blackhawks and
Lightning.  Of the five teams that wore three jerseys last
season, the Bruins, Penguins and Canucks will wear them again
this year (AP/Baltimore SUN, 10/27). ...Morrow Snowboards
announced net sales for the quarter ended September 30 were
$19.7M, an increase of 93% from $10.2M in '95's third quarter.
Net income was $3.07M, more than four times the net income of
$681,000 recorded in last year's third quarter (Morrow
Snowboards)....ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported that Dolphins
Coach Jimmy Johnson and Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones refused to
allow their images to be placed on Starter's "Commotion by the
Ocean" T-shirts ("NFL Countdown," ESPN, 10/27)....Thursday night,
a ball autographed by every member of the '78 Aberdeen, MD High
School baseball team, including Cal Ripken Jr., was sold at
auction for $10,307.  A local businessman bought the ball and
plans to keep it in the state and will rent it out for
promotional purposes (Baltimore SUN, 10/26).
