     48,686 attended NLCS Game One last night at 52,710-seat
Fulton County Stadium (THE DAILY)....Several sources reported on
the Coyotes inaugural home game in Phoenix tonight against the
Sharks.  While VP/Hockey Operations Bobby Smith said 11,500
season tickets have been sold, almost 1,000 tickets remain for
tonight's game.  1,800 seats are left for Saturday's home matchup
with the Ducks (SAN JOSE MERCURY NEWS, 10/10)....The Penguins
will distribute free programs to fans at games this season....A
VA franchise in the new Women's Professional Fastpitch league
will be based in Newport News and Hampton, and will play at the
5,000-seat War Memorial Stadium.  The agreement between the
league and the Peninsula Stadium Authority, which operates the
facility, is for three years, with an option that would cover an
additional 10-year period.  Ticket prices will be set at $4.50
(RICHMOND TIMES DISPATCH, 10/10).
