MEDIA NOTES

     The National Sporting Goods Association has a site on the
World Wide Web previewing its Expo '97.  It can be accessed at
http:www.NSGAChicagoShow.com.  Under construction are sites with
NSGA's Buying Guide and NSGA's market research (NSGA)...ESPN
extended its deal with the International Speedway Corp. for
coverage of five NASCAR Winston Cup events, including the Sears
DieHard 500.  The deal begins in '98 (ESPN)....MSG Network is
"considering a weekly Wayne Gretzky show" (NEWSDAY, 9/27)....TBS
is looking for a broadcast partner for its two weekends of
daytime coverage of the '98 Goodwill Games.  CBS has "yet to
select a cable partner" for the '98 Nagano Games, but both CBS
and TBS "are talking" about possibly working together (NEWSDAY,
9/27)...."NFL on Fox" is averaging a 10.4 rating in '96, compared
to a 10.5 after four weeks in '95.  Last week's Fox doubleheader
got a 13.2 rating (Fox).
