WATCH IT. THE NFL IS TRYING TO GET IN YOUR BEDROOM

     The NFL, JCPenney and several NFL at Home licensees are
participating in the '96 NFL/JCPenney Bedroom Sweepstakes.  Fans
in 12 markets -- Baltimore, Charlotte, Chicago, Green Bay,
Jacksonville, Kansas City, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix,
Pittsburgh, Washington, DC, and Denver -- can enter the season-
long sweepstakes at 200 participating JCPenney stores to win
$1,000 in NFL licensed bedroom merchandise.  Fans in Denver win
merchandise for a family room.  Participating licensees: Allure,
Bulova, Biederlack, Cushion Craft, Fremont, Good Stuff, Nardi,
P&K, Sports Coverage, Sportcast, Suncoast and Teamworks (NFL).
     WHERE ARE YOU? The NFL and Champion mark the 20th
anniversary of HBO's "Inside the NFL" with a sweeps featuring a
trip to Super Bowl XXXI and the Champions Throwback Bowl in New
Orleans.  The promo runs through December, and is highlighted
during the "Where Are They Now?" segments of "Inside the NFL"'s
TV and radio broadcasts.  The winner is chosen from a random
drawing of mailed-in entries.  In addition, participating
retailers that carry NFL Champion Throwbacks apparel will have
entry boxes.  The campaign is supported by print buys in a
special Champion Throwbacks sections of GQ and GameDay (NFL).
