GET YOUR MOTOR RUNNIN': DELCO ELECTRONICS TO SUPPORT IRL

     Delco Electronics will become a "corporate supporter" of the
IRL as lead sponsor of an IRL team owned by Rick Galles, sources
told Bill Koenig in the INDIANAPOLIS STAR/NEWS.  Galles is also a
CART car owner, and Delco is his lead sponsor in that circuit.
Koenig notes "it couldn't be determined" if Galles is quitting
CART, or just starting a new operation in the IRL.  Delco is the
second sponsor of a CART team to become an IRL sponsor, joining
Pennzoil.  The move isn't "unexpected" as Galles was one of two
CART teams that participated in both the Indianapolis 500 and the
U.S. 500. IN-based Delco will use the Galles deal to give them a
presence at the Indy 500 (INDIANAPOLIS STAR-NEWS, 9/13).
