WEDNESDAY WEB SITE: A CYBER TRIP TO THE PGA INT'L GOLF SHOW
Published September 11, 1996
If you were not able to make to Las Vegas' Sands Expo and Convention Center for the PGA Int'l Golf Show this week, the PGA of America's web site offers you the chance to participate via the Internet. PGA Online, http://www.pga online.com, offers a link to a special PGA Int'l Golf Show site via an easily identifiable "Golf Show" icon. Once accessed, web browsers can choose among such links as "Press Room," "PGA TV," "Expo People," "Celebrity Sightings," and "Sign the Guest Book." "Press Room" offers PGA press releases, exhibitor press releases, new product announcements, and PGA Show news. Browsers can access information from these sites which is categorized by the different days of the Show. "PGA TV" provides a video feed of new product announcements, golf trends and sights from the floor. Taylor Made is the official Cybercast sponsor, and a special link to "Taylor Made Golf Show News" is available on the "Golf Show" home page. "Expo People" offers photos from the event, while "Celebrity Sightings" shows well-known golf fans in attendance. Rock legend/golf guru Alice Cooper was featured yesterday (THE DAILY).
