     Next year's Army-Navy football game will be held at Giants
Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ (AP/N.Y. TIMES, 8/29). ....An
editorial in CRAIN'S DETROIT BUSINESS notes that the announcement
of the Lions/Tigers "stadiums generated for Detroit some of its
most positive publicity across the country in recent memory.
It's something the city can continue to build upon"  (CRAIN'S
DETROIT BUSINESS, 8/26 issue)....After meeting Tuesday, the
Cotton Bowl Athletic Association declared that they need a domed
stadium in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area if they "are to have any
chance to get back into the top group of bowls" (DALLAS MORNING
NEWS, 8/28)....DETROIT NEWS' Melanie Mathews profiles Rossetti
Associates Architects of Birmingham, MI, who are designing the
new $234M National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, NY (DETROIT
NEWS, 8/29). ....MLS Commissioner Doug Logan said San Jose's
Spartan Stadium has three years to make renovations in order to
be an "acceptable facility" for the MLS Clash.  MLS has a one-
year lease with at the stadium and talks of a new lease begin
next month.  Clash President Peter Bridgewater has been given
permission from the league to scout other homes, including 3Com
Park and Oakland Coliseum (S. J. MERCURY NEWS, 8/29).
