LUXURY SEAT TROUBLES LOOMING IN CLEVELAND?

Citing responses of area executives surveyed by CRAIN'S
CLEVELAND BUSINESS, Stan Bullard writes marketers preparing to
sell luxury seats for Cleveland's proposed $220M football stadium
could face an "uphill battle." While a "handful" of corporations
have committed, many local CEO's are "questioning the wisdom" of
buying boxes because of other civic financial commitments, the
prospect of a "limited" eight-game home schedule and the
franchise's uncertain ownership structure. Securing deposits
totaling $9.42M by January 31 is required if the NFL is to
provide the city a loan of $43M for stadium construction.
Facilities Marketing Group and IMG will begin a $1M campaign to
market seats this fall (CRAIN'S CLEVELAND BUSINESS, 8/26).
