     NASCAR made the following announcement: GEORGE PYNE was
promoted to VP/Licensing & Merchandising and will direct the
Licensing Group office in Charlotte, N.C.  NASCAR also announced
five department head title changes:  DOUG FRITZ, Senior
Dir/Marketing & Business Development; PAUL BROOKS, Dir Special
Projects; JOHN GRIFFIN, Dir Communications Worldwide; JUDY HAYDT,
Dir Broadcasting & Corporate Marketing; LIZ SCHLOSSER, Dir
Licensing & Merchandising (NASCAR)....JOHN C. JAY, Global
Creative Dir for the Nike account, was announced as a partner of
Wieden & Kennedy in Portland, OR (N.Y. TIMES, 8/22)....OR-based
Morrow Snowboards announced DAVID CALAPP as their new CEO.  He
was formerly VP of Prince Sports Group.  Calapp will also be a
member of the Board of Directors (Morrow Snowboards).
