     Spike Lee, on his upcoming feature on Albert Belle for HBO's
"Real Sports": "He talks about some of the things he would have
done differently.  It's obvious some of the things have hurt him
with endorsements.  He wants to do them.  I think it's a fair
piece" (Cleveland PLAIN-DEALER, 8/19)....Preliminary overnight
ratings for Fox's Saturday night NFL exhibition telecast of
Denver-Dallas were a 6.3 rating/13 share.  The game drew a
18.7/32 in Dallas with a 23.3/48 in Denver (Nielsen Sports
Marketing)....CBS' weekend golf coverage of the Sprint
International drew a 2.5 rating, a 31% drop from last year.
Weather caused East Coast viewers to miss the end of Sunday's
final round (USA TODAY, 8/20)....The Classic Sports Network,
scheduled to "be dropped" by WBIS/Channel 31 in New York City on
October 16,  could continue on the network until WBIS begins its
own programming.  Classic Sports is talking with other local
cable systems about carriage once the WBIS deal ends (N.Y. POST,
8/20)....Richard Sandomir previews fX's "Baseball Minnesota"
series about the St. Paul Saints.  Sandomir calls it a "baseball
nosybody's delight" (N.Y. TIMES, 8/20).
