STADIUM NOTES

     One of the grass practice fields at the Eagles' Veterans
Stadium training complex is not ready for the club's scheduled
arrival next week.  The field was resodded after being used as a
pregame reception area for the MLB All-Star Game (PHILADELPHIA
DAILY NEWS, 8/16)....Coors has offered to pay up to $7M for the
naming rights the IHL Utah Grizzlies new $53.3M West Valley Event
Center.  However,  West Valley City officials are "reluctant" to
pursue the proposal fearing it could be "tapping a powder keg of
public controversy" (DESERET NEWS, 8/15)....Jacksonville, FL-
based Advanced Steel Fabrication Inc. postponed plans to file
suit against The Haskell Co., the general contractor hired by the
Jaguars to oversee last year's construction on Jacksonville
Municipal Stadium, after Haskell agreed to pay $135,000 in unpaid
labor costs.  Several other companies claiming they have not been
paid for work done at the stadium are also contemplating lawsuits
(FLORIDA TIMES-UNION, 8/15).
