SCHOOL DAZE: NFL TO KICK OFF TAKE A PLAYER TO SCHOOL CONTEST

     NFL Properties, JCPenney and Starter will join together this
fall for the sixth annual JCPenney/Starter Take A Player to
School Contest.  The contest starts this month and has students
eligible to win a $1,000 donation for their school, tickets to a
home game, a visit from an NFL player in November and a Starter
merchandise package.  Students ages 18 and under currently in
school are eligible to participate and must fill out an entry
form at participating JCPenney stores within a 40-mile radius of
their hometown NFL team through September 15.  The 30 winners
will be selected through a random drawing.  Point-of-sale
materials, featuring Starter endorsee Cowboys RB Emmitt Smith,
will be on display in participating JCPenney stores encouraging
kids to enter the contest. The program is supported by ads in NFL
GameDay, and be tagged on existing "Play Football" print ads and
featured in JCPenney national circulars (NFL).
     THE GREAT WHITE NORTH: NFL Properties teams with Gatorade,
Kraft Canada, Sports Chek, and YMCA to bring the NFL Gatorade
Punt, Pass & Kick competition this month in Vancouver and
Toronto.  Promotions include point-of-purchase materials
featuring Dolphins QB Dan Marino (NFL).
