     NBC is reportedly pushing Jackie Joyner-Kersee for the WNBA
(N.Y. POST, 8/12)....Phil Mushnick gives credit to MSG Network VP
Joe Cohen for negotiating a "peace that will keep MSG on expanded
basic" for the near future.  MSG was about to pull its
programming from 400,000 area homes served by TCI Cable which
wanted to put MSG as a premium channel (N.Y. POST,
8/11)....SportsChannel Florida and the Southern League's AA
Orlando Cubs signed a marketing deal to better promote baseball
in Central FL.  The deal includes live telecasts of Cubs games,
sponsorship opportunities, and other promos
(SportsChannel)....TIME's Richard Schiekel gives a positive
review to "Tin Cup" (TIME, 8/19 issue).
