TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY TO SELL PSL'S

In an attempt to help finance a $110M price tag, the Texas
Motor Speedway will sell approximately $30M in PSLs, according to
the FORT WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM. Speedway General Manager Eddie
Gossage said rates have not yet been set, but he anticipates PSLs
for 30,000 out of 150,000 seats to be sold at prices ranging from
$500 to $2,500. Gossage added the PSL's could be available as
early as next month. Fans would be required to purchase a
package of annual tickets that could run about $900 in order to
keep the seats. While Bruton Smith is financing the speedway's
construction, the Fort Worth Sports Authority plans to buy the
facility and lease it back to Smith's Speedway Motorsports. The
authority, which then plans to sell bonds in order to raise
construction costs, will receive lease payments from Speedway
Motorsports to pay back the bulk of the bond debt (Jack Smith,
FORT WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM, 8/10).
