     Motorola subsidiary, Embarc, announced expanded coverage of
its "ESPNET To Go" wireless sports service for pages to include
coverage of all medal events at the Olympic Games
(Motorola)....Former ABC Sports exec Dennis Swanson, now
President of WNBC-TV, New York, is profiled in CRAIN'S NEW YORK.
 Swanson: "The most fun I've had in television has been in
managing stations" (CRAIN'S NEW YORK, 7/22)....Final ratings for
ESPN's X Games show a 1.0 prime time rating on ESPN for four
nights -- "about the same as last year."  ESPN2's prime-time
rating was a 0.8, up from a 0.5 from '95 (CABLE WORLD, 7/22
issue)....ESPN Senior VP/Sales & Marketing George Bodenheimer is
featured in ELECTRONIC MEDIA for "taking the ESPN brand to
extremes."  Bodenheimer said the company is spending more money
to advertise its products to build and develop the brand
extensions and products the company can control," such as the
ESPY's and the X Games (ELECTRONIC MEDIA, 7/15 issue).
