     Topps will serve as title sponsor for a series of two-day
seminars for sports trading card owners. Led by Alan Narz,
Founder of Hobby Trends, the sessions will provide retailing
techniques for the industry (Topps)....It was "Carlos Valderrama
Wig Night" in Tampa as the MLS Mutiny hosted the Wiz in front of
7,520 "wigged out" fans last night.   Both starting lineups ran
onto the field wearing the Valderrama wigs given away to fans
(TAMPA TRIBUNE, 7/19). ...Greg Norman's deal with Maxfli to
launch its new XS 100 ball reportedly is for $18M over five years
(ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 7/19)....Today's Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE
looks at the corporate backing of this week's Senior PGA Tour
Burent Senior Classic in Coon Rapids, MN.  Sponsorship for the
'96 event has doubled to 300 since '93.  But it's a "sellers
market," as the tournament has a waiting list of prospective
sponsors (Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE, 7/19). ...Raycom will help
Ranier-Walsh Racing Enterprises sell sponsorship for its '97
Winston Cup season (Raycom).
