     HBO Exec Producer Ross Greenburg, who reportedly discussed
taking the Exec Producer position at ABC Sports, is staying at
HBO.  USA TODAY's Rudy Martzke says ABC's "prime" candidate is
now ESPN Senior VP/Programming John Wildhack (USA TODAY,
7/18)...."HNIC's" Don Cherry has agreed to work on CBC's coverage
of the World Cup of Hockey in August and September.  Cherry, who
originally told CBC he would not participate, will do the World
Cup instead of Nagano '98.  Cherry:  "Don't expect me to go to
Japan, because there are way too many foreigners there" (Toronto
GLOBE & MAIL, 7/18)....Prime Deportiva has acquired exclusive
cable and broadcast rights to televise MLB live to Latin America
every Saturday afternoon during the regular season.  They have
also gained exclusive cable rights to post-season coverage (Prime
Deportiva)....The Jaguars and Continental Cablevision have joined
to create the team's official Web site.  It will be unveiled
August 18.  An "introductory page" exists at
http://www.jaguarsnfl.com (Jaguars)...ESPN acquired international
broadcast rights to more than 55 qualifying matches of the '98
World Cup.  The rights include games which will air on ESPN
networks internationally from August '96 through December '97
(ESPN).
