STADIUM NOTES

     According to CRAIN'S NEW YORK BUSINESS, NJ Gov. Christine
Todd Whitman intends to unveil her plan to bring the Yankees to
N.J. during the GOP National Convention in August (CRAIN'S NEW
YORK BUSINESS, 7/15)....The Virginia Baseball Stadium Authority
will accept proposals for possible sites to build a stadium until
Monday (WASHINGTON POST, 7/18)....The Warriors have finalized an
agreement to build an arena in the Oakland Coliseum Complex and
signed a 20-year lease agreement with four five-year options (USA
TODAY, 7/18)....The $150M expansion of Anaheim's convention
center was designed by K.C.-based HOK, which also designed the
Arrowhead Pond (L.A. TIMES, 7/17)....The AFL Tampa Bay Storm will
announce today that they will share the Ice Palace with the
Lightning in '97.  The ThunderDome, the Storm's home this season,
will be closed beginning October 1 for baseball-related
renovations.  The Storm signed a five-year deal to play in The
Palace (TAMPA TRIBUNE, 7/18).
