USTA SERVES UP "USA TENNIS" BRAND TO INCREASE AWARENESS

The United States Tennis Association (USTA) has launched the
brand "USA Tennis" as a new licensing trademark to represent its
national teams that will participate in this summer's Olympics,
and in Davis Cup and Fed Cup competitions. USTA President Les
Snyder said the "USA Tennis" brand is "designed to generate
awareness for the USTA and its role as the national governing
body of tennis." The "USA Tennis" brand will be featured on
apparel worn by members of this year's U.S. Olympic Team and U.S.
Davis Cup and Fed Cup teams (USTA).
FIRST USA BANK SIGNS UP: First USA Bank, issuer of the USTA
Visa Card, has signed a deal to sponsor "USA Tennis." First
USA's sponsorship means that the USTA Visa Card becomes the
official credit card of "USA Tennis." Each time a USTA Visa Card
is used, a donation is automatically made to the user's local
USTA sectional office. Funds collected from the use of the USTA
Visa Card benefit grassroots programs such as the USTA Schools
Program, USTA Junior Team Tennis and the USTA National Junior
Tennis League (USTA).
