     ELECTRONIC MEDIA's Ron Alridge reviews NBC's coverage of the
NBA Finals.  He notes the coverage "was nowhere near the best" as
the network "broke too many rules," citing use of too many
announcers and overproduction (ELECTRONIC MEDIA, 6/24
issue)....Fox will use an eight-year-old guest announcer, Michael
Frasier, for its Saturday MLB coverage during the Cubs-Reds game.
Frasier will call one inning based on a request he sent via e-
mail to Fox's "In the Zone" kids show (USA TODAY, 6/26)....Walt
Disney Co. named Georgetown President Leo O'Donovan to its board
(WALL STREET JOURNAL, 6/26)....Today's WALL STREET JOURNAL
examines major publishers launching sports magazines aimed at
women.  Conde Nast Sports for Women debuts next spring with a
$30M rollout and SI is "considering a spinoff title featuring
women both as athletes and fans" (WALL STREET JOURNAL,
6/26)....AOL President & COO William Razzouk resigned Tuesday
after just four months on the job (INSIDE MEDIA, 6/25).
