OLYMPIC NOTES

     More than 100 athletes and spectators needed medical help
for heat-related illnesses during the U.S. Track and Field
Trials, according to ACOG.  But ACOG's Dr. John Cantwell believes
that during the Games, the heat will pose problems more for
spectators than athletes (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 6/26)....Lake
Placid will consider bidding for the 2022 Winter Games (N.Y.
TIMES, 6/26)...."NBC Nightly News" looked at possible terrorism
in Atlanta.  Ed Francis reports law enforcement's "greatest
concern is for the lone perpetrator they call, `the virgin' -- an
individual working alone, who has never committed a violent act,
who is not a member of any dark sinister group, an American who
looks like he belongs" (NBC, 6/25).
