OLYMPIC NOTES

     The CBC's coverage of the Games is profiled in the Toronto
GLOBE & MAIL.  The public broadcaster says it has "recovered" all
of the C$20.75M paid for Canadian TV rights from ad sales (GLOBE
& MAIL, 6/25)....ACOG spokesperson Laurie Olsen denied reports
that ACOG rejected Boyz II Men's offer to sing the national
anthem because the group's version was "too black."  Olsen said
ACOG did tell MTV the rendition was "too flashy" (ATLANTA
CONSTITUTION, 6/25). ....Reebok's designing of several teams'
Olympic uniforms is profiled in the BOSTON HERALD.  Three
designers will be in Atlanta during the Games supervising a team
of 10 seamstresses hired to customize the outfits to the
athletes' specifications (BOSTON HERALD, 6/24)....ACOG officials
have decided to drive the Olympic torch through Greenville County
in SC, which recently passed anti-gay legislation, but once the
van gets to the Greenville city limits, the torch will return to
the street (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 6/25).
